If you know me then you've heard me say, "you get a do-over". A do-over is a word we use as a kid. If you missed the ball while trying to hit you got another chance. Did not, you get called upon to make-over, and you get to do it again. I love kids because they do not really understand-surplus. You could spend the half hour that threw the ball and make-called surpluses until the succeed. That's pretty smart, asking what you need. Adoro as the New Year, because as a natural make-over.

However, does practice make-surplus in our lives? Many of us practice "do-Against" instead. I looked back my journal entries a year and see many of the same goals, be more compassionate with my family, loose 10 pounds, and so on. The resolutions are great until someone in my family to do something and get so frustrated sign-up or I to get 8 boxes of Girl Scout cookies, then I am face with the rewriting of the same things next year. Does this sound familiar?

So I started to wonder why some really big things I set out to achieve, as the writing of my book, I happen to happen and why not other things less difficult. What I found was I needed some results, steps to take to get there, and concrete aids around me to help me make the changes. Even bigger than the action steps the committee that I decided to change and how to feel about it.

If no specific area in your life that you are wanting to transform allows them to focus on that one thing. This is do-about where it comes in handy. You can change the way you think and feel about this by using their creative thinking of the possibilities. Identify as the problem (one is enough), be very specific and clear what it is. Now go grab some art supplies, magazines, crayons, oil patch, markers, paint, whatever you have in your hand. "Sit down with this problem and ask how I would be different if this problem were resolved, what I was doing, he was thinking or feeling be? Allow yourself to use art materials to express how different your life would feel and if this was no longer an issue. This is his make-over. This is your map to make changes.

My collage hangs over my fireplace as a reminder of what I am choosing to create.

Hockney Paintings - Famous British Contemporary Art

British artist David Hockney is famous in the modern era with a contemporary style that is fresh and charming, and has won critical success on both sides of the pond and all over the world. However, there are many factors that influence investment dividends. These include the initial purchase price for the illustrations, the success of the artist's career, the time involved in that success, the overall economic climate, important changes in the market potential of art because of advances in technology, art movements and media monitoring, and when they sell the work.

If you want to make money investing in contemporary illustrations, is vital to buy early in the career of an artist who is destined for success. It is usually necessary to wait for very long periods of time for art paintings by the artist gathered momentum over time and increase in value. It is better to buy when the economic climate has weakened since the prices are low and sell when the market is strong. These are the factors that all need to be considered when investing in contemporary art paintings.

Anyone can invest in contemporary art paintings. Of course it depends on your budget and what you are looking to invest within. The best way to go about investing is to do your due diligence and investigate first. Best places to investigate are the auction houses such as Sotheby's and Christies. There are others, however these were the largest auction houses for a long time and are worth checking. Other galleries specializing in contemporary art are worth investigating. These galleries are in every major city and most regional areas also have galleries. The local media sources are also good at identifying the galleries specializing in contemporary art. There may be a local arts section in your paper or a publication outlining the city galleries. It is well worth going to the opening nights of some of these galleries and talking to people. It takes some time to get a handle on the market, so do not rush into anything, just enjoys contemplating the work and the right piece will come along.

When you are looking to collect contemporary art paintings that will give significant returns typically cause a game to emerge or artists coming and they involve time. These artists can be found or displayed are usually represented by cutting edge galleries in major cities or regional areas. Again, this involves research and go to exhibitions. The dividends can be enormous, however usually takes decades for this to happen. It usually takes time for any artist to be recognized by their peers, the art scene / the world, the media and then the next big thing. For many artists, this never happens, so pay investigate first.

The broad scope of contemporary paintings defined by their gender and the era in which they created. Some consider them to start from the 60s and 70s up until the time we live in now. They can also be defined as artwork to which it is currently the contemporary at any age we are living. The pop art paintings were the most contemporary of the1960 just as abstract expressionist paintings were in the decade before that.

Here is an example of how contemporary illustrations increase in value, sometimes in a phenomenal way. The Financial Times recently reported that in 1986, an anonymous collector bought a 1962 Andy Warhol painting "200 one dollar bills" for $ 385,000. This sounds like an expensive investment. In November 2009, sold for $ 43.8m at Sotheby's auction house in New York. There are many such examples of surprise return on investment. An expenditure of $ 385 000 may not be possible for everyone, however you can still have significant returns over time if you buy a new collector hundreds of dollars for something that hundreds of thousands.

The contemporary art market has been affected by the recent economic downturn. This has been evidenced in the runnings of the gallery, reported declining sales at auction houses and a total sales decline. However, The Financial Times announced a positive change in the market for contemporary art paintings with the recent sale of Warhol, 1962 Warhol painting for $ 43.8m.

It is an ideal time to invest when the market has declined. There are much greater chance of returning significant investment if the market has been weakened by the economic climate. This art form said to be a reaction against radicalism and experimentalism of modern art. However, opinion remains divided on the "individuality" of last modernism, which retains the conceptual identity of modernism and is only a phase in the broader eon of modern art, as
believed by some schools of thought. Another term closely connected post modernism, which relies on the questionable premise that art can not be innovative or modern versus modernity. However, the boundaries are blurred.

Details
Easy recognition of work in late modernity is its comprehensibility representations and relatively unambiguous. The Minimalism, characterized by the most simplistic forms, the modernist genre one last look.

Artists and Artwork
1967 pieces "Red Canvas" by Richard Tuttle (USA, 1941) is a classic case of simplification in late modernity. Features of this framework in an irregular octagon red against a light background. Similarly, the 1913 work Kazimir Malevich (Russian - 1879-1935) oil on canvas entitled, "black box" is another flat geometric design. The grid color fragmented, known as composition No. 10 is another example of Minimalistic, by Piet Mondrian (Netherlands, 1872-1944). The best-known contributors to last modernism with Minimalism, including Frank Stella (U.S., 1936), Agnes Martin (Canadian-American, 1912-2004), Donald Judd (USA, 1928-94), the ad Reinhardt (U.S. , 1913-67), Robert Morris (USA, 1965), Tony Smith (USA, 1939), the solenoid Lewitt (USA, 1928-2007), Robert Smithson (USA, 1938-73), Larry Bell ( USA, 1939), Dan Flavin (USA, 1933-96), Carl Andre (USA, 1935), fodder beet Roberto (USA, 1937), and Ronald Bladen (Canadian-American, 1918-88) .

Correlations
The Minimalism was not confined to the realm of painting, and found expression through sculptures, too. Frank Stella was among the lead authors of Minimalism in sculpture. The field of color and abstract expressionism others are regarded as the foundation stones of the last modernist. The two genres have some overlap in terms of artists, which made several Abstract Expressionist pioneers and ardent supporters of the color field. Abstract Expressionism was the sect of paint with which the likes of Jackson Pollock, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Jane Frank, Barnett Newman, Arshile Gorky, John Hofmann, Francis Kline, Clyfford still, were identified. The "No. 5 "by Jackson Pollock (1948), Helen Frankenthaler the mountains and the sea" (1952) and "Onement 1" of Barnett Newman (1948) are some of the legendary abstract expressionist racks. The color field is also a branch of abstract art, where the underlying simplicity of execution is made expressive by the interplay of vibrant colors. The "start" by Kenneth Noland, created in 1958, is one of the most prized pieces of color field painting. Similar is "Who's afraid of red, yellow and blue?" A Barnett Newman's 1966 framework.

Conclusion
No matter if a consensus on the classification of late modernity is reached or not, his notable contribution to contemporary art scene can not be denied.

Modern Art Vs Contemporary Art

The success of a piece of art depends on how skillfully connects with the audience. If the illustrations successfully communicate your message, is considered to be a masterpiece. Some of the most artistic works of art began to flourish in the nineteenth century until 1970. The flowering of modern art in this era began and therefore leading to the artists to move away from traditional practices and put more emphasis on the representation of emotion on canvas. Set 1970, preferred call modern art contemporary art. This includes anything that has been created after 1970 to the present age.

Modern art is not synonymous with contemporary art. The former includes only those jobs that were created in the first half of the twentieth century. Cubism, Futurism, Constructivism all its contemporary art form of the partition, on the one hand, it means those jobs done now or in the recent past. The best thing about today is that art is limited by rigid tradition and has no freedom to experiment with various styles.

Since then the two world wars occurred, there has been a wave of abstract expressionist art movement, pop art, Post-modernism, from Minimalism and feminist art. The number of movements has grown in numbers recently. Now it appears common for avant-garde movements that emerged with new names each year. The movement that created quite a fuss recently was Abstract Expressionism. The followers of this movement believed that art has just been created to carry their own feelings and had no connection with the outside world.

However, there is a section of people who do not consider modern art as in the true sense. Many people consider representations of landscape and nature as the true art form. When the modern and contemporary artists create something that challenges your imagination, wonder the idea of his being an art.

In fact, the need to understand abstract art and intellect to decipher its hidden meaning appropriate. Understanding the concept of the artist and the appreciation of the work on that basis lays the foundation for an accurate representation of modern art.

Art Book Review - Art, Art Everywhere From East Coast to West Coast

Contemporary art is perhaps one of the purest art forms, some say that's what art is, and that the rest of the mimic art or abstraction in contemporary art. The art of any particular era or period is in fact only all its own. You can see the place and time of an artwork by its samples says the story, of course it often takes an expert of that period to do so.

Some can not agree but contemporary art was in fact late 80s, some of the best art ever produced. Many will point to the artisans of Italy back in the day, but there was something about the 80 that were evidence of a new age of art that has never been considered. Perhaps best illustrates this observation and see for yourself, maybe even become lost in the art of this period in the past, I would recommend a very good book art to you:

"ARTCOAST - Western contemporary art and the East" by Robert D. Cruthers, edited by Kay Larson, western art Publishers, Santa Monica, CA, 1989. ISBN: 1042-8178.

This book is the art of Asia and America, some of Europe too, and is a mixture of everything that was available. Japanese art is represented American artists and finally a style all its own. There's something different about the 80 that allowed the artists create in this style, a style that seemed to become global. Although the art in the book do something obvious which country the art wine, you can see similarities, that is all too intriguing. Of course, you will need to purchase this great book of art to understand.

Contemporary Art at the Corner House - Cornerhouse Art Centre

The Cornerhouse Art Center, located in the heart of Manchester is an international center for contemporary visual art. In fact, the paintings of around 70 A.D. still exist. Over the past two decades, the Christian themes in contemporary art have enjoyed a renaissance while artists have tried to express their spirituality and religion through his paintings.

Religious Themes

The contemporary Christian paintings incorporate a wide variety of topics. Some fine art adheres to the iconic images seen in religious art through the ages - what some might call the literal biblical interpretations. These issues include the announcement iconic, the worship of one of the Magi, crucifixion, resurrection, the stations of the cross, and the Virgin Mary. Saints are also popular iconic themes in contemporary art god.

Some artists back before the birth of Christ, indeed, the creation of the universe. For example, the series of Anthony Falbo genesis of contemporary fine artist represents the first book of the Bible. Through paintings Falbo, the creation of the universe reveals itself as if it happened today. With his abstract style, you can see emerging from the light, separating day from night, the sky rising, the land that appears, blooming vegetation, living creatures who come forward, and hand God touches the hand of man.

But just as God created light and darkness, contemporary Christian artists ambo represent good and evil. From the shame that Adam and Eve felt after disobeying God in the Garden of Eden to open images and subliminal messages of hell, artists represent the darker side of humanity.

A variety of styles

Christians today artists employ styles and media as varied as the dedication itself. For example, some artists can paint in an impressionistic style, using bold colors, movements loose and thick dabs of paint to bring a scene to life. Others are expressed with Cubism, the art form changing pieces of objects in a way that the person viewing the painting gain new insight into the object represented. Still others paint a form of abstractionist, stretching, enlarging, or shape and form that magnify to shed new light on daily issues. Some artists, like Anthony Falbo, combining forms like Cubism and abstractionism what might be called "cubestraction," and produce outstanding pieces.

Exhibition of our dedication

Christians today are embracing contemporary artists buying original works and limited edition reproductions. Beautiful art with a spiritual theme - if the birth of Christ, the creation of the earth, or other "art of God" - serves as a reminder of the Creator's presence in our lives, and their importance to our security and welfare. It also keeps us mindful of the need to express our dedication to spread the word of God, and be grateful for the gifts he has bestowed upon us.

Famous Abstract Contemporary Art Paintings

Abstract art came about in the past centuries, where artists attempted to move away from pure realism painting and putting in their own style and emotion on the subject of his painting. Similar to its political and economic isolation, the contemporary art in this region also has much Western influence. Becoming its own terms, the art in Burma reflects a fine balance between modernity and rich cultural heritage of the country. The decorations and the theme of art paintings are often associated with deep-rooted Marxist and Buddhist belief in the country. The difficult socio-political situation in the country also has a significant influence in contemporary art.

Contemporary art is not much experimental in Burma, with oil color poster, crayons, and watercolor as the most popular paintings. One characteristic of art education in Burma is the apprenticeship system, where students learn from their masters in workshops. The development in contemporary art is limited to the two main cities of Rangoon (Yangon) and Mandalay. The public school of Fine Arts opened in Yangon and Mandalay, in 1952. They are the first formal art schools in the country. The Myanmar National Museum, established in 1952, was first platform for aspiring artists display art in the nation.

The illustrations and artists

The artists vague U Nyan and U Ngwe Gaing were first to introduce Western-style painting in Burmese art. Gywe U Mon (Yangon, 1930) is considered the greatest living master of Burmese paintings. His painting style is close to impressionism, with his favorite subject being the beauty of women. The "dancer I and II" (2006), "bathing beauties" (2007), "bathing nymphs" (2007) and "serial naked" (2005) is among his famous illustrations. The work of Aung Kyaw Htet (Myaungmya, 1965) reflects the basic values and rituals that include Buddhism and rural education. Unlike most Burmese artists, his paintings depict the faces of monks and nuns in detail, with a special series of monks in red robes. "Four white monks" (2006), the "portrait of a monk in red" (2008), "Robing in the morning I and II" (2009), "innocence and faith" (2009), and "a Walk in the Sun "(2009) are among his countless illustrations.

Some other modern artists are ace Burmese Di Maung, Khin one, Khin Maung YIN, Kyi Twe, Nyunt Myat San Myint Oo Thet leg, the EP's triumph (Mandalay), Po Po (born 1957), speck of dust Thone, Soe Naing, minutes from San, Wae least NU Wah (born 1977), MPP Ye Myint, San Naing, paw Thame, Nyein Chan Su, stomach Naing, Aung Myint, Ko Aung Moe Satt, Mrat Lunn Htwann, and Nyan Lin Htet.

Conclusion

Despite the absence of affluent collectors, contemporary group of artists united in Myanmar exhibits his work in private galleries in Yangon and Mandalay with great zeal. Isolated from the Western world, "of this unique-ness" of his expression of beauty in art has demonstrated the social realities of their conservative society. Myanmar's economy has seen tremendous growth since it became a member of the Association of Southeast Asian c @ 1997. With this awakening, the modernism of Myanmar traditional illustrated in its connotations, also won recognition in international art circles. Art critics across the world consider Myanmar contemporary art, with its dedication to the most common daily situation, clarifying and fresh compared to the sophisticated Western art forms.

What is a Contemporary Art Auction?

The modern art world is changing. Just visit a contemporary art auction for a clue. Unknown artists find the value of their work four times within years. Chinese and Indian artists are finding larger audiences, and wealthy patrons of the arts just are not paying thousands - are paying millions.

Traditionally, older work of an artist stored higher offers and requests more frantic. However, painters like Brice Marden are changing the status quo with a whole collection of recent work requested.

The 10 top contemporary artists, whose works sold for over $ 5 million in the auction are as follows: Lucian Freud, Jasper Johns, Jeff Koons, Brice Marden, Bruce Nauman, Robert Rauschenberg, Gerhard Richter, Richard Serra, Frank Stella, and Cy Twombly. Other artists (in the range $ 1 - $ 4 million) to look out for include: Chuck Close, David Hockney, Ellsworth Kelly, Anselm Kiefer, Claes Oldenburg, Robert Ryman, and Wayne Thiebaud.

Jasper Johns, one of the highest paid modern artists can not seem to pursue the case. He paints two projects each month (you sell for no less than $ 1 billion), but the waiting list is still long. The entertainment giant David Geffen paid $ 40 million "gray numbers" a few years back and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City allegedly paid about $ 20 million the "white flag."

The colorful paintings, American themes of John rub - with lots of flags, maps and white - with the subtle messages that affect every viewer differently. If a collector is lucky enough to find a Jasper Johns art auction house, then not much is known to sell.

One can not help but wonder what explains the noticeable trend towards modern art? Most purchasers (42%) in the contemporary art auction Sotheby remain in Europe, with U.S. crawling in 19%, and Asian / Middle Eastern sales at 12%.

It seems that the high price of the pound is hurting many Americans more than the credit crunch, but the weekend's auctions in London saw many advances of the concerned Indian and Chinese buyers seeking a piece of cultural heritage. For example, two bidders fought over the "execution" of six minutes by Yue Minjun, which eventually sold for $ 2.93 million record. It paints a Sutawijaya Putu ( "quiet way") sold for $ 350,000 (11 times its estimated price) in the Borobudur auction!

The art world is shifting from the traditional flashy event, complete with fine wine, cheese and fashionable attire - one to sit behind the computer screen, available credit card. While it may seem impersonal to some, it is advantageous to others who have the ability to jump between sites, checking the prices right to know if there is particular work that have their eye on. After browsing online catalogs, art lovers can get a good idea of what is available in the market to date, and then make the best purchase later at an auction of contemporary art.
